In arriving at those suggestions we take into account such things as :-

The position and design of adjacent buildings and their surrounds
The shapes, directions and locations of roads, rivers, trees and nearby hills
Street furniture
The position and direction that your plot of land faces
The entrances and exits to the plot of land
The landscaping, paths and other features (such as water) within the plot of land
The position and direction your building faces
The shape of the building and its construction
The position, direction and style of doors and windows, especially main entrances and exits
Entrance areas, hall ways, stairs, lifts and corridors
Any protruding or missing areas
Areas above pillars, car parks, garages etc.
The location of important rooms (such as the bedroom in a house or the chairman's office in a business) and the location of people within them
