Leicester City - Stand and Deliver

The visiting supporters taunt “You’ve only got one stand.”

Whether you agree or not you may like to know that one stand is serving Leicester City Football Club very well thank you.

In fact, Leicester Feng Shui expert Thomas Coxon would go as far as to say the £5 Million Carling stand, completed in 1994, IS the reason for the teams good spell.

According to Feng Shui principles an east facing stand in the colour blue spells success.

Thomas said “If you put up a big place like this and you start to do well afterwards it’s usually cause and effect.

The blue colour in the seating (which happens to be Leicester's colour) generates a lot of energy which affects all the people in the area.

All this energy then spills out onto the pitch and as a rough rule of thumb that is why Leicester are doing so well.”

In a west facing stand blue has the opposite effect - that’s where the away supporters sit.

“If you took two otherwise identical people and put them in here for three hours the one in the Carling Stand would be fresh as a daisy. The one on the away side would be tired, fidgety, fed up and wanting to go home.”

Thomas also suggested that the home team dugout should be given a coat of very pale blue paint to boost the energy and that the opposition dugout should be painted magnolia to reduce it.

According to Feng Shui a player who performs well in blue is unlikely to do so well in other colours, which may be why some fans consider Leicester’s yellow “away” strip as “unlucky”.
