Authentic Feng Shui
Feng Shui DIY
Does Feng Shui work and if so how does Feng Shui work ?
It took me five years of observing my Chinese in-
Planet Earth contains a Magnetic energy field – mariners have been using it for centuries to navigate with. It also contains an Electrical energy field – the electrostatic potential between the upper atmosphere and the Earth's surface is what leads to lightening when tall cloud formations “short it out” during thunder storms. And we know that there is a Gravity field – it's what keeps us from flying off into space as the Earth rotates. Up until the fifteen hundreds, scientist were also interested in four additional energy fields and to this day Metaphysicians both remind mainstream science of their existence and routinely work with them.
It's not just planet Earth which has these energy fields. We know that the Sun has all three – electro magnetic “storms” on the Sun have disrupted electrical supplies here on Earth. We also know that Sun, Moon and all of the planets have Gravity fields, and we know that these affect things here on Earth – the Moon’s Gravity field causes our twice daily ocean tides for instance. Metaphysicians, and until the advent of the Industrial Revolution main stream scientists, say that all energy fields interact, not just the first three.
It's like we live in an invisible “soup” of ever changing energy.
Feng Shui gives us the tools to examine some aspects of that energy and the influences which it is having upon us. Once we know that, we can use Feng Shui to work out how to blunt the harmful effects and tap into and enhance the beneficial ones.
Occasionally we can even use Feng Shui to work out how to create beneficial influences which wouldn’t otherwise exist.
When a baby draws its first breath it synchronises with the “soup” around at that point in time and space, and the subsequent changes in that energy field give rise to what we know as a persons “Horoscope”. If we know how the influence of the “soup” changes through time we can use Feng Shui to help position ourselves to derive the most benefit from the good times and we can also use Feng Shui to help minimise the effects of the bad times. In addition we can use Feng Shui to help us design and/or alter the buildings themselves to help in this endeavour.
Generally the more Feng Shui knowledge and experience which is used, the better will be the results, from applying Feng Shui, so we've designed this website to help everyone, from those who want to try out a few simple aspects of Feng Shui by themselves, to those who want to find a Feng Shui practitioner, or even become one.
There is a DIY section which introduces you to to the basics and sections explaining how to use colours in Feng Shui, as well as how to use the Feng Shui BaGua and the Feng Shui Pakua. There is another section about how to apply simple Eight House Feng Shui based on your birth year, and a section on how to apply simple Feng Shui Remedies.
We’ve also included a selection of books, if you want to learn more than you can by browsing this and other web sites for free information. There are a few on the right and more (which are relevant to the specific content) on other pages of the DIY section.
If you want to do your own Feng Shui, but a bit more in depth, there's a download to teach you how to apply Flying Star Feng Shui to your home.
If you really want your use of Feng Shui to be effective there is a section on Professional Feng Shui, including guidance on what to look for when choosing a Feng Shui practitioner.
If you really want to “go for it” and become a professional Feng Shui practitioner yourself, look in our resources section and you'll find a list of Feng Shui teachers who we think are very good.
